This short exercise has everyone in the band working on a specific fundamental technique at once as shown below. Suitable for beginner, 2nd & 3rd year players.
Percussionists play paradiddles, saxes learn an alternate fingering, clarinets, play step-wise above the break, brass play lip slurs, everyone else plays octave slurs.

This Grade 2 arrangement has an optional quads part - which makes it ready to go for pep band and marching band.
Also included are parts for guitar, bass guitar and drum set. .
Eight Grade .5-1 band works featuring the letter L (you'll see).
Each is about a minute long. It's great sight-reading material for middle schoolers and is suitable for a beginning band concert.
